Before receiving Dysport injections, you’ll have a consultation with a trained medical professional, usually a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or licensed injector. During this session, the practitioner will assess your facial structure, wrinkles, and muscle movement to determine the best treatment areas and the appropriate dose. The practitioner will inject small amounts of Dysport/Xeomin directly into the targeted muscles using a fine needle. You may feel a slight pinch or discomfort during the procedure, but there is minimal pain involved. A topical numbing cream can be applied if you are concerned about discomfort.
Dysport is suitable for most adults who wish to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Ideal candidates for Dysport/Xeomin treatment are those who: Have mild to moderate wrinkles caused by facial expressions (forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet), are looking for a non-invasive and quick solution to smooth their skin, are in good overall health and have realistic expectations for the treatment, want to maintain natural facial expressions but reduce the appearance of wrinkles, however, Dysport/Xeomin is not suitable for individuals who: are pregnant or breastfeeding, have muscle or nerve disorders, such as Myasthenia Gravis, and/or are allergic to any ingredients in Dysport/Xeomin.

There is little to no downtime after the treatment, and most people can resume their normal activities immediately. However, patients are typically advised to avoid rubbing the treated areas, lying down for at least 4 hours, or engaging in strenuous physical activity for a day to ensure the best results.
